Puzzling World Junior Challenge Wanaka

Join hundreds of fellow triathletes, aged from 6 to 15 in the Puzzling World Junior Challenge Wanaka. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never raced triathlon before or if you want to race as an individual or as part of a team with your friends and family.
Swim/Splash through Lake Wanaka, off-road bike and run round Wanaka Station and Pembroke Parks.
There are prizes from Puzzling World for everyone, plus you’ll get a finishers T shirt and it’s heaps of fun.

Radio Wanaka 5km Charity Fun Run

Join hundreds of locals, friends and families of athletes on an informal 5km fun run/walk along the lakefront towards Waterfall Creek before cutting back through Rippon Vineyard, Edgewater Resort and Wanaka Station Park.
Great spot prizes and heaps of fun. Come in fancy dress and be in for a chance to win.
6.30pm Monday 16 January. $10 for non-athletes. Entry on the day.

Swim the Course

An opportunity to swim either one or two laps of the course with full safety and timing. Plus a chance to try out a 2XU wet suit. Free for athletes or $5 for non-athletes.
7.00am Wednesday 18 January.

Contact Tri Series

Feel the excitement of racing on a criterium course through the town centre in the evening. An epic swim in one of New Zealand’s most scenic lakes is chased by bike and run courses lapping through town amongst an atmosphere second to none. Features the Contact 3:9:3, the Contact Trophy (sprint) and the Contact Cup (sprint).

Pasta d’Oro Carbo Party

Pasta d’Oro Carbo Party – Thursday 19 January at 6.30pm

The Pasta d’Oro Carbo Party is a great place to meet old friends and make new ones. After a warm welcome from the Challenge Wanaka team, last year’s winners will say a few words followed by a few important race announcements. All athletes have free entry into this great carbo-loading experience. Friends and family are very welcome and tickets are available for $18 including plenty of carbohydrates and non-alcoholic drinks.

Awards Brunch

Awards Brunch – Sunday 22 January at 10.30am

Each athlete has a ticket included in their entry fee and you can buy extra tickets for family and friends for just $20. It features a delicious breakfast, cooked by the Rotary Club of Wanaka, including bacon, eggs and plenty of coffee!

Due to space limitations, tickets are strictly on a first come, first served basis for friends and family and may be limited on the day.
